Who We Are.
NIDO CAMBODIA
The Organization is created to unite all Nigerians and people of Nigerian descent in Cambodia to defend their common and individual interests and to promote the good image of Nigeria through realisation of our aims and objectives in complete submission to the Cambodian Constitution and Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I am Ambassador Folakemi I. Akinleye (FCA), the Ambassador-Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of the Philippines with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
It is indeed a rare honour and privilege to be representing our very own President Muhammadu Buhari at the highest diplomatic level in this exciting and rich corridor of southeast Asia.
In contemporary terms, this is a momentous period in our nation as we recalibrate our relations with the rest of the world post-Nigeria-at-60 and post-Covid-19 pandemic socio-economic landscape. My mandate is clearly enunciated in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ’State Charter’ to me and my fellow ambassadors on the eve of our departure to our respective missions abroad.
I have an abiding interest and passion in perpetuating the concept of ‘openness’ in all my dealings and interaction with the Nigerian community here in the Philippines and Cambodia. For the avoidance of doubt, we are all ambassadors of our great country and we need that collective mindset to project us in a more favourable and assured light as we navigate the 21st century in a truly global sense.
I will anchor my tenure on a tripod as follows:
(1), Inclusive welfare of Nigerian citizens including mental health issues and the best-of-us situations;
(2), Round-the-clock interactive, effective and prompt communication feedback in respect of all consular-related matters; and
(3), A combination of intuitive and diligent deployment of economic diplomacy initiatives to boost our trade, commercial and actual foreign direct investment activities with the Philippines and Cambodia.
To this end, I intend to leverage the preeminent position of the Philippines as a key player in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to engender a favourable and robust balance of trade for Nigeria and Africa by extension.
Once again, I look forward to a very vibrant stewardship and this is a rallying call to all stakeholders to reposition our great country in the ‘new normal’ world we now find ourselves in!
Arise, O compatriots!
Thank You! Daalu! Na gode! E se gan ni!
